undefined Solange Knowles is finally gearing up for the release of her new album. The hippie singer/songwriters first release since 2008’s Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams is “more of a modern twist on hip-hop and R&B flecked with tinges of blues and jazz” but content wise, she says “there’s a lot of songs about sex.”

It was a star strutted event at the NYC premiere of George Lucas’ new film Red Tails. The story of the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American servicemen during World War II. R&B star Ne-Yo, who has a role in the film, showed up on the red carpet, rocking a very bright red pea coat. The singer/songwriter spoke briefly about the film, “[I'm] extremely excited to be here, extremely honored to be here, honored to be apart of something so important and so historic. ”
He also wished Beyonce and Jay-Z the very best on the birth of Blue Ivy, and shared some parenting advice, “It’s a good thing that ya’ll don’t sleep anyway, because you ain’t gonna get none no time soon.”
